Who qualifies as a student?
We offer academic subscription licenses to all currently enrolled undergraduate and graduate students, as well as post doctoral fellows. The email address for receiving the license code must be a academic institution email, and you must register with a university email address when signing up.
Note: Installation may not possible if the registered email differs from the email used for installation. Users may also be required to submit proof of student status.
What happens if I get a new computer?
If you get a new computer, log in to your account to download and install ToxGenie Free Trial on your new computer, then contact toxgenie@toxgenie.com to receive a new license code for installation.
If I no longer need to use ToxGenie, may I transfer or resell my license to someone else?
If purchased individually, the license is the exclusive personal property of the individual. No one else may use the license, and it cannot be transferred to another person. However, if purchased by an institution, the ToxGenie license is the exclusive property of the purchasing institution. During the license purchase period, it may be transferred to other users within the same institution. However, user changes must be notified. It cannot be transferred to other institutions.
What are the terms of the license?
You may use the license for one year from the date of license code installation. Your student license is exclusively for your individual use and may not be shared with your mentor, other students, or anyone else in the lab.
Can ToxGenie be used for free for one year?
If the first author or corresponding author emails a paper (PDF) to toxgenie@toxgenie.com that mentions ToxGenie was used for analysis in the Materials and Methods section of an SCI journal publication, we will provide a one-year license code exclusively to their registered email address, with only one license code issued per institution.
May I use a purchase order, or request a proforma invoice and pay by bank transfer?
No, all subscriptions must be purchased online using PayPal or Visa and MasterCard. If all payment methods are unavailable, please contact toxgenie@toxgenie.com.
